BioGrad Education’s industry-leading training laboratories and clinical suites are located at our site in Wavertree Technology Park, just outside Liverpool city centre.

Laboratories and Training Areas

Our facility boasts cutting-edge laboratories, including a dedicated Stem Cell Research laboratory, and clinical training suites. These spaces are designed to provide hands-on experience in a professional environment, ensuring students gain practical skills essential for their future careers.

In addition to our research and clinical facilities, we have a dedicated training area where we deliver our Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine, Medical School Preparation, and General Internal Medicine courses. Our training programmes are designed to equip aspiring medical professionals with essential knowledge and practical skills, offering immersive, real-world experiences. Whether preparing for medical school, developing emergency response skills, or gaining insight into internal medicine, our students benefit from high-quality, hands-on learning in a supportive and professional setting.

Equipment

At BioGrad, we are committed to providing a comprehensive learning environment that combines top-tier educational facilities with the comforts and conveniences that support student success. Our state-of-the-art biobank and laboratories including Mammalian Cell Culture and Microbiology are fully equipped with industry grade equipment that allows us to deliver science and research-based classes in Western Blotting, ELISA, PCR, Mammalian Cell Culture, Microbiology and more, as well as pre-medicine programmes including Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine and General Internal Medicine.

Transport

Our site is easily accessible via public transport. Trains from Liverpool Lime Street Station stopping at Wavertree Technology Park are regular and take only 6-8 minutes. The train station is less than five minutes’ walk to BioGrad’s base.

Our site is also easy to reach via local bus networks. The primary services include routes 60, 61, 79, and 79C. These buses operate with regular frequencies during peak hours, typically every 15 to 20 minutes, ensuring convenient access to Wavertree Technology Park. For instance, buses depart from Liverpool ONE Bus Station to Southdale Road, near Wavertree Technology Park, every 15 minutes during these times.

The Building Process

Beginning with a stripped-back shell, the facility underwent a meticulous development process to transform it into a state-of-the-art biobanking centre. Each stage of the build has been carefully documented, from the installation of precision-controlled storage units to the implementation of secure sample handling and tracking systems. This phased development reflects BioGrad’s dedication to quality, compliance, and scientific excellence, ensuring the biobank and laboratories meets the highest international standards for sample preservation and research support.
