Liverpool, UK – BioGrad Education is proud to share the positive results of a recent Ofsted monitoring visit, effectively quality assuring our success in providing high-quality training through our Skills Bootcamps in Laboratory Skills, Biotechnology and Mammalian Cell Culture.
Since launching the Skills Bootcamp courses in March 2023, BioGrad is upskilling participants in CPD certificated professional practice as well as Career Start and progression, therefore supporting their journey to success in the science sector.
Our Bootcamps are designed to meet the needs of both unemployed participants and those seeking to advance their careers, simultaneously contributing to the growing demand for a skilled workforce in bioscience fields across city regions. Ofsted’s inspection confirmed the effectiveness of our adult learning provision, the expertise of our teaching staff, and the strength of our safeguarding procedures.

Ofsted commended BioGrad for its clear vision of equipping participants with essential skills for careers in science. Our curriculum is developed in collaboration with local employers, ensuring it is aligned with industry needs and continuously updated to reflect the latest advancements in the field. We remain committed to helping our participants gain the knowledge and competencies required to succeed in the science sector. - Expert Teaching and Practical Experience:
Ofsted recognised the exceptional qualifications and expertise of our teaching staff, who bring real-world experience from both academia and the bioscience industry. Participants benefit from hands-on training in industry-standard environments, where they gain confidence and proficiency in essential laboratory techniques such as PCR, Western blot, and ELISA. Our regular assessments and expert guidance ensure participants develop safe, reliable working practices that prepare them for future employment. - Outstanding Learner Success:
We are especially proud that three-quarters of our participants have successfully secured new roles or advanced in their current positions upon completing our Skills Bootcamp Courses. This achievement reflects our strong commitment to delivering education that has a direct impact on employability and career progression in the science sector. - Effective Safeguarding Practices:
BioGrad’s commitment to learner welfare was also recognised by Ofsted, which confirmed that our safeguarding procedures are robust and effective. Participants reported feeling safe and supported throughout their courses, particularly in laboratory environments that require strict adherence to health and safety protocols.
