Description
An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Videographer & Short-film Producer to join the BioGrad Education Team. As part of the education team, you will contribute to our services by creating short videos for each course we offer. Your responsibilities will include filming content, editing videos, producing engaging video content, and capturing photos at events.

Role-specific responsibilities
1. Filming and editing video content
- Utilise your skills in operating camera and film equipment to capture high-quality footage.
- Apply your creative vision to produce visually compelling videos
2. Planning and creating captivating video content
- Collaborate with the education team to brainstorm ideas and develop video concepts.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of video shoots, ensuring all necessary equipment and resources are available
3. Working collaboratively with the education team
- Engage in effective communication and coordination with team members to ensure seamless integration of video content into educational courses.
4. Health and Safety
- Adhere to Health and Safety Policies to ensure the safety of staff and students.
- Regularly clean work and teaching areas and maintain equipment.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety guidelines, ISO standards, and COSSH guidelines.
- Understand and execute procedures for handling chemical and biological spills, as well as fire alarm procedures.
- Manage stock levels of personal protective equipment (PPE) and equipment.
- Ensure the safety of students in the laboratories by not leaving them unattended.
- Enforce the use of appropriate PPE by students
5. Capturing photos at events
- Travel with the CEO to various events and assist in photographing the events.
- Capture high-quality images that showcase the essence and highlights of the events.

Person Specification
Skills & Experience
Proficiency in operating camera and film equipment:
- Demonstrate expertise in using professional video cameras, lenses, tripods, and other necessary equipment.
Demonstrated ability to plan and create video content:
- Showcase your creativity and storytelling skills through past video projects. Develop engaging narratives and visually appealing shots that align with the educational goals.
Experience in editing video content:
- Proficiently use video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) to edit footage, add effects, and create a polished final product.
Essential criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in film or media (essential).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in videography, video production, and video editing (preferred)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Note: All candidates will be expected to provide samples of their work during the interview process. Possessing your own camera equipment is desirable but not essential.
