Business Development Manager - BioGrad Prenatal

BioGrad is a leading company in the health tech industry, specialising in prenatal and female health products. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and lead the expansion of our sales efforts in the prenatal market. The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in establishing and managing a brand-new sales team with the goal of growing sales from 1 million to 60 million over the next four years. This position offers room for growth and development, with the potential to evolve into a Sales Director role as the company expands.
Role-specific responsibilities
Strategy Development
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve aggressive revenue targets in the prenatal and female health tech space. Identify key market segments, customer profiles, and product positioning to drive sales growth.
Business Expansion
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand BioGrad’s market presence. This includes establishing strategic partnerships, collaborations, and distribution channels to increase sales volume and market reach.
Market Analysis
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences. Use this information to inform sales strategies, identify areas for growth, and make data-driven decisions.
Collaboration with Marketing
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align sales and marketing strategies. Provide input on lead generation efforts, promotional campaigns, and product positioning to maximize brand awareness and generate quality leads for the sales team.
Industry Knowledge
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to prenatal and female health tech. Continuously expand your knowledge base to position BioGrad as a market leader in the industry.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team. Provide guidance, coaching, and ongoing support to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills, resources, and motivation to achieve individual and team targets.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, healthcare professionals, distributors, and other relevant stakeholders. Leverage these relationships to drive sales, gather customer feedback, and identify opportunities for product improvements or new product development.
- Develop and grow supportive Key Opinion Leader to support BioGrad.
Sales Presentations and Proposals
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and reports to internal and external stakeholders. Tailor messaging to effectively communicate the unique value proposition of BioGrad’ s prenatal and female health products.
Performance Tracking and Reporting
- Monitor and track sales performance against targets, providing regular reports and forecasts to senior management. Analyse sales data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to optimise sales strategies and drive continuous improvement.
Person Specification
Proven Track Record
A minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience within the prenatal and female health tech industry, with a track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Strategic Mindset
Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies. Proactive in identifying market opportunities and adapting to changing market dynamics.
Industry Knowledge
In-depth understanding of the pre-natal and female health tech market, including knowledge of competitors, industry trends, and customer needs. Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards is a plus.
Analytical Thinking
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Proficient in using sales analytics tools and CRM systems.
IT Skills
Must have a good understanding and be able to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft 365 and other IT Programs
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).

Remuneration
The salary for this position ranges from £26,000 to £34,000 per annum, based on experience, plus commission based on achieving sales targets.
